Lean Production: market-oriented and flexible
A growing individualization of products, intensive cyclical variation, as well as a continuous cost and quality pressure and short product life cycles require a rethinking in the production. A high degree of automation in the production usually means a high investment level which will not be totally used in times of decreasing demand or cyclical fluctuation. Moreover, processes are unflexible and interruptions in the production line are momentous. Target of a Lean Production is a "breathing" production, i.e. a flexible reaction to changes in production volumes or variants, to minimize production costs at a constantly high production quality level. In a Lean Production the automation level grows with the actual demand, i.e. it is totally tailored to the product life cycle. Lean Production aims at an intelligent automation, not an over-automation, i.e. a perfect interaction between human being and machine. The principle "keep it simple" has top priority. All processes have to be recognized by the operator immediately: what is the machine doing and why. Talk to our experts. We will show you how you can effectively use the Lean Production concept for your manufacturing.
