The production of electronic assemblies must become more sustainable and energy-efficient, which requires smart electronics. Based on the concepts of Industry 4.0, a new quality can now be achieved through machine learning and intelligent data processing, which can be reflected holistically in “digital transformation”. The electronic assemblies are both a means to an end and the subject of these developments.
